Emma, now 20, made her way to Las Vegas to audition for her chance at becoming the next American Idol. While the auditions took place earlier in the summer, nobody knew the outcome until last night.

Her song of choice was the classic Goodbye Yellow Brick Road by, Sir Elton John.

Although Katy Perry wants Emma to “lose the Broadway voice”, all 3 judges (including Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie) were unanimous in their decision to give Emma a golden ticket.

The 3rd audition night aired on Sunday, March 5th and the Juggler graduate did not disappoint.

After getting her golden ticket, Emma was able to celebrate with her mother Rina Busse, who was waiting behind the doors with American Idol host, Ryan Seacrest.

The mother-daughter hug was a special moment for both.
