Thank you for being a reader and supporter of the Notre Dame Observer! It is my pleasure to introduce our new digital platform (WordPress) for 2020.
Through the efforts and collaboration of many, this website is now a reality. The Observer team shares a vision to represent Notre Dame genuinely and create content based on what is important to the students and the ND community.
As Editor in Chief, it is my role to ensure accuracy and fairness for each article, along with leadership and mentorship to the team of over 35 students involved in various aspects of the newspaper.
As this is a student-led and operated entity of Notre Dame, I am sensitive to the topics the writers consider important. While some articles will no doubt be considered provocative by some, there is never an intent to be nefarious to any single person, group, team, club or staff member of Notre Dame.
The ideas and opinions expressed in any article are the author’s own and do not necessarily reflect the views of the Editor of The Observer, the administration or teachers of Notre Dame, or the CISVA.
I will continue to encourage journalistic integrity by teaching awareness and balance, and I will foster an atmosphere that allows student writers to express themselves with their true, authentic voices.
Thank you,

Editor in Chief
May I suggest that when you use an acronym (like CISVA) you define it the first time it is mentioned in the article. Using the acronym afterwards is perfectly acceptable. BTW congrats on this effort. Very professional looking and some interesting content.
Thank you for your comment – CISVA is the Catholic Independent Schools of Vancouver Archdiocese
Thanks for the website! I think including a link on the ND website to it could help other students discover it. I also recommend inviting staff to wirte articles, or holding contests through here! Let me know if you need an alumni writer.
Hello! Thank you for the message. We will work on getting a link up on the ND website soon. We welcome all alum to contribute to our publication. Please email through the ‘contact us’ page.
(Using my regular email this time!)
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! This is a super cool project and I wish there was something like the ND Observer back when I was a juggler (’91 GRAD).
Stay in touch, and thanks for reading. Please subscribe to stay connected!
